How is quality determined? We grade each item ourselves. No. 1 is the highest quality, then No. 2, then No. 3, then Damaged. As our products are natural, no two will ever be identical and even No. 1 Quality items may have minor flaws. Skulls with character flaws such as worn down teeth or healed wounds are not considered damaged. Damaged items may be very high quality but there might be parts missing such as a beaver pelt that is not whole.
How do you measure your products? We take all measurements in Imperial and add a conversion to Metric. Measurements of fur are taken from the tip of the tail to tip of the nose or the width at widest point and length at the longest point. Skulls are measured from the back to the front. Hides (leather, grain, suede, split, shearling) are measured at the widest and longest points (not angles).
How do you determine pricing? Pricing for each product varies based on size, quality, and other characteristics.
Do you provide tax refunds for First Nations customers living on a reserve? Yes, we do. After your purchase has been completed, send an email to loosemoosetradingpost@hotmail.com with your Order No. and a copy of your Status Card or Temporary Confirmation of Registration Document, front and back. When we receive this email, we will send an e-transfer for the amount of the tax to the address provided on your order.
How long will my items be held in my Cart? As natural products are unique and we want you to know what you’re getting, we are selling most products as one of a kind. For this reason, items will only be held in your cart for five (5) days.
