We live in the Rocky Mountains in the beautiful community of Grande Cache. The air, water, and land is still clean and pristine here. We want to share some of nature’s products with you so that you too can enjoy and appreciate nature with us. We have a deep connection to the land and all that inhabit it. We respect the animals as well as the people who practice traditional activities on the land. We honor and respect nature so all of our products are harvested ethically. We sell natural products that are often difficult to find and this is our way of sharing the bounty of nature with all people. We also take great care that none of our business involves over-harvesting of any species. In fact the products we have for sale are usually from animals that are overly abundant and these are excess animals that were harvested to keep the populations stable and healthy. We harvest many animals ourselves. We also buy from other hunter/gatherers (mainly Indigenous people). We support people from remote communities where the employment rate is low and there are few opportunities for income. We have been selling products for over 15 years and Dennis has been working with these products for his entire life. We have slowly grown our business and added more products along the way, such as pinecone jewelry in 2022. One of our goals is to assist with maintaining traditional Indigenous activities. Our products have been used to make moccasins, mukluks, hats, mitts, baby moss bags, jewelry, and more. When you buy from us you are purchasing sustainable products, supporting traditional lifestyles, and helping to conserve our natural world.
why choose us
A Company With A Commitment
Nature
All of our products are natural. We bring these products to you with the desire that you will also see the beauty of nature. Our wish is that everyone can have a greater appreciation of our wilderness and the animals that live in it.
Respect
We respect the land and the animals that live on it. Our goal, as stewards of the land, is to ensure that all species on that land will thrive for all time. When an animal is harvested no part of it is wasted. If you choose to buy our products we hope you will appreciate it and the animal it came from as much as we do.
Conservation
A portion of all proceeds goes to wildlife conservation (studies, habitat preservation, restoration, etc.). So when you buy from us you are contributing to conserving wildlife and nature.

Dennis Wohlgemuth
I started spending as much time as I could outside in nature at a very young age. I love the bush and all the plants and animals in it. Nature is my safe place. Hunting, gathering, and trapping became my way of being able to spend more time outside in the bush along the streams, forests, and mountains; often with Indigenous people. I developed a deep respect and appreciation for nature and everything that lives in nature. Our little business here has evolved over many years from our love of the land. The first fur I harvested was over 50 years ago. Now we are able to share the gifts of nature with the people who also appreciate nature’s gifts.

I spent most of my life in or near Vancouver, BC. When I met Dennis in 2008, I was living and working in downtown high-rise buildings. Moving up north and into the Rocky Mountains was such an easy transition that I know I am now where I belong – a place where I can connect with my Indigenous heritage. My love of the outdoors has been with me all my life – I have lived next to the ocean, hiked up mountains, played in crystal clear streams, and camped deep in forests where the only sounds are animals, birds, or wind in the trees. I want to share our products with makers, artisans, and others who love our natural world as much as I do.
